How we got here

This isn't a new idea, it's the next piece of the plan

Phase 1 gave 1219 a custom booking website. The plan was for that site to check live availability through Reeka, so it never double-books. But when we looked closely, we hit a wall: Reeka is a closed box. It won't let your website pull availability out, and it won't let a booking be fed back in. Reeka has been useful, and it stays on as your archive and backup, but it simply can't be wired into a live website.

So rather than fight that, we bring forward a piece of what was always planned for Phase 2: your own system. It becomes the single source of truth your website reads from, which removes the double-booking risk, and it hands you something bigger, ownership of your bookings and your guests. This proposal is that slice of Phase 2, brought into Phase 1 now.

How it works

Everything runs through one place you own

Your system becomes the single source of truth. Bookings flow into it, and it keeps your website, your team, and your calendar in sync.

Why it matters

Renting versus owning

The difference isn't only the monthly cost. It's who holds your business.

Renting

A platform runs it

  • A fee every month, for as long as you use it.
  • Your guest data lives inside their system.
  • Stop paying, and you walk away with nothing.
  • They hold the customer relationship, not you.

Owning

You run it

  • You own the system and the data outright.
  • A monthly keeps it running and improving, never a fee to unlock what's already yours.
  • Stop anytime, and you keep everything, the system and every guest.
  • The customer relationship is yours to keep and grow.

The payoff

What this gets you

Tap any one to see what it really means.

Right now your team opens Reeka every single morning just to tell a guest on DM whether a date is free. With your dashboard, availability is always live. It updates the moment a booking happens, so anyone can answer a guest in seconds, and no one has to check.

Every booking drops the guest straight into a list you own, with the channel they came from, like this:

Tunde Bellotunde.b@mail.comWhatsAppJun 2026
Chidinma E.chidi@mail.comInstagramMay 2026
Ada Okoyeada.okoye@mail.comWhatsAppJul 2026

Today those details scatter across chats and vanish. That list, and knowing which channel brings your best guests, is the seed of every returning-guest offer you will ever send.

It lives in your system, not a platform's. The day you want to change tools, or walk away from one entirely, your customers come with you. Nobody can hold your business hostage to keep your money.

Owned by youExport it, move it, leave any tool. It stays yours.

Owning the guest list is what makes the next stage possible. Once it is yours, Phase 2 can bring past guests back automatically, take bookings straight from WhatsApp and Instagram, and turn one stay into repeat revenue.

Repeat revenue, over time
Phase 1 beginsPhase 2 compounds

That is where the real extra money is: fewer empty nights, more direct bookings, and guests who return on their own. Phase 2 is a later stage, scoped on its own. This foundation is what we build now.

Where this goes

Built in two phases

We start with the foundation you own, then grow revenue on top of it.

Phase 1 · Now

Your own booking system

Live availability, direct bookings and payment, guest capture, and a staff dashboard. The foundation, and the part you own.

Phase 2 · Later

Win guests back, automatically

Booking straight from WhatsApp and Instagram, after-stay follow-ups, and offers to your own guest list. Scoped separately, built on this foundation.

Same guests. Same channels. The difference is that the manual work disappears, every guest becomes yours to keep, and it all lives in one place you own, not rented.
